Trust Halle Berry to continue pushing the bounds of sheer dressing on the red carpet. On August 12, Berry walked the red carpet for the premiere of her new Netflix movie, The Union, in a lacy black dress that left little to the imagination. (But why would you want to?)

Berry’s sheer, knee-length black dress, featuring a plunging neckline and floral lace detailing, was layered over an equally sheer black bodysuit, with structural lines mimicking the construction of a corset. She accessorised the lingerie-inspired frock with double-strap Mary-Jane pumps — also in black — and a pair of statement earrings. She kept her glam simple, with a curly, centre-parted bob and a no-makeup makeup look that let the outfit speak for itself. The Catwoman vibes are immaculate.

The Union, which costars Mark Wahlberg and J.K. Simmons, is about a pair of former high-school sweethearts from New Jersey who reunite for an espionage mission. Halle Berry plays Roxanne, a spy for a top-secret government agency, who recruits her high school ex-boyfriend, played by Wahlberg, for a dangerous intelligence job in Europe, per Netflix.
If the plot of this action movie wasn’t enough, Berry’s slinky black outfit should definitely confirm that she has far from left her Catwoman days behind her.
