Gigi Hadid dares to wear a nude dress at the Vogue World: Paris after party

As the face of its third year, Gigi Hadid set Vogue World and its after-party alight.

After New York and London, the event moved to the French capital, and more precisely to Place Vendôme – an iconic Parisian venue transformed into a giant catwalk on Sunday. Celebrating fashion and athletics by associating a sport (such as cycling, gymnastics, tennis, taekwondo, fencing, breakdance…) with a theme linked to a decade in French culture, beginning in 1924.

As one of the most influential models of her generation, Gigi Hadid embodies the spirit of Vogue World: Paris, and was one of the most eagerly awaited figures at the show.

After crossing Place Vendôme on horseback alongside Kendall Jenner, both dressed by Hermès, the eldest of the Hadid sisters once again took to the runway in a made-to-measure Balmain gown for the final section, which was dedicated to the 2010s and breakdancing.

As in previous years, the unmissable fashion event was followed by an eagerly awaited after-party.

After transforming the 1st arrondissement venue into an open-air club, celebrities gathered at Maxim de Paris, the city’s night owl stronghold. Gigi Hadid arrived in Balmain: a structured blue dress encrusted with a feminine crystal bust while the bottom of the dress gave the illusion of a denim miniskirt.

Under the creative direction of Olivier Rousteing, artistic director of the French fashion house, Balmain’s “nude” dress took on a new dimension.

Ornamental art designer Flory Brisset — whom Rousteing calls on to bring his wildest ideas to life, such as the epic creation worn by Tyla at the Met Gala 2024 — once again teamed up with him in this creative process.

Reflecting Hadid’s audacity, this statement piece is also reminiscent of Jean Paul Gaultier’s famous trompe-l’œil dresses, and was the highlight of this star-studded evening. Styled by her longtime stylist Mimi Cuttrell, the American model added a pair of black pumps and delicate Tiffany & Co. earrings to a dress that stood on its own.
