I applied the mask with the (actually very handy) applicator and let it sit on my skin for 10 minutes. Unlike other face masks, this does not dry down and stays wet on your face whilst it sucks impurities out of your skin and pores. The actual magnet device is very sleek and comes in a wide range of colours including this beautiful hot pink. It also doubles as a facial massager, to stimulate collagen production and improve skin appearance.
To remove it, you simply hover the magnetic wand over your face and watch it pull the mask away. Whilst it did a good job of removing the mask from the sides of my face, my chin and forehead, the shape of the device made it a little tricky to manoeuvre around my eye and nose area, so I just wiped that bit off.
After use my skin looked smooth and a bit firmer, and I noticed a reduction in the amount of oil on my skin. Going forward, I’d use the mask as a monthly treatment, however the device’s facial massage capabilities will be a regular in my routine, as my skin felt refreshed and plump after use.

I’m the first to admit that I’m something of a skincare novice, so electronic facial devices have always felt a little intimidating to me. That said, when I sat down to unbox my GESKE device, I was immediately impressed with how user-friendly it was. Scanning a QR code within the device’s box, I was directed to setup the app which did a face scan and had three suggested ‘routines’ loaded up for me.
Though the Sonic Thermo Facial Brush is billed primarily as a tool to help open up pores before skincare, it also has microcurrent tech that helps with skin toning, among several other features. After cleansing my face as normal, I applied GESKE’s hydrating microcurrent gel and followed the rejuvenating facial lift video tutorial via the app. The tool itself glided easily across my face and as with most microcurrent tools, I noticed a slight prickle when using – though nothing out of the ordinary. Instructions on the tutorials were very clear which I appreciated, while the tool itself fit easily in my palm. When I finished my routine I felt like I had a subtle glow and my nasolabial folds seemed less prominent.
Overall, GESKE has managed to make facial devices feel accessible – which is no small feat. The only possible thing I could fault was that I had issues with the tool turning off a couple of times while I was halfway through my routine, but with the press of a few buttons this was easily fixed.
