Florence Pugh knows how to make a style statement, and she was once again the most talked-about star on the red carpet last night. Stepping out in London’s Cineworld Leicester Square for the premiere of Marvel’s latest superhero movie Thunderbolts alongside costars Pedro Pascal and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Florence made a style statement from head-to-toe.

Now, we know sheer dresses have been the celebrity go-to on red carpets for years, but love how Florence Pugh’s black sheer, caged Elie Saab gown featured a wide, A-line skirt rather than your typical slinky silhouette. On the runway, the dress was styled with a gauzy black flower tied around the model’s neck but the actress, who plays assassin Yelena Belova, finished off her look with black diamond jewellery by Ara Vartanian and what our beauty editor called the “wet goth” glam with slicked back hair and highlighter orange eyeliner.
Perhaps in a slight nod to her character’s morally ambiguous leanings, Florence later stepped out in another sheer look, this time in a matching nude corset dress and sheer trench coat complete with ballerina pumps. We love how the actress easily pulled off both dark and light versions of the sheer trend with her personal style, demonstrating this trend’s versatile appeal in one day.
