Okay 13 Going on 30 fans, listen up. A brand new Jennifer Garner film, Family Switch, is set to hit Netflix later this year, and it’s already giving us major flashbacks to the iconic 2004 comedy.
While 13 Going on 30 saw Garner playing a 13-year-old girl who finds herself living in her 30-year-old body, Family Switch will see her in a slightly different body switching scenario — this time, she’ll be playing a teenage girl who finds herself trapped in her mother’s body. To make matters even more chaotic, the rest of their family also find themselves swapped, too. It’s like 13 Going on 30-meets-Freaky Friday, and honestly, we’re already completely obsessed. Clearly, Netflix is more than willing to tap into our cultural nostalgia, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming comedy.
Who stars in Family Switch?
An all-star cast has already been confirmed for Family Switch. In addition to Garner, who will play the mom/ teenager-trapped-in-mom’s body, the cast will also include Wednesday’s Emma Myers as CC, the teenaged girl, The Hangover’s Ed Helms as the dad, and Brady Noon as Wyatt, the teenaged son.
Rounding out the cast is Rita Moreno, who you may know from both versions of West Side Story, standup comedian Fortune Feimster, and Top Gun’s Bashir Salahuddin.
What is Family Switch about?
The film begins with a family that is drifting apart as the two teenaged children approach adulthood. When the family meets a fortune teller (Moreno), they wake up to find themselves swapped. Family Switch follows the classic body switch formula found in classics like 13 Going on 30, Freaky Friday, Big, and 17 Again, and adds an extra layer — this time, it isn’t just two characters who switch places, it’s the whole family — including the baby and the dog!
