Emily Ratajkowski is making the controversial ballet trainer the ‘it’ shoe of the summer

If there’s one thing we can always rely on Emily Ratajkowski for, it’s shoe inspiration.

Whether she’s debuting her new favourite trainer silhouette, the shoe colour of the season or high-rise ugg boots, there are very few footwear moments from EmRata that we aren’t influenced by.

But, during her latest dog-walking runway moment (it seems we always fall in love with her off-duty style on these dog walks), her shoe of choice was undoubtedly more divisive. Let it be known, before you even see the footwear in question, that we are unanimously obsessed.

Sure, some of the office questioned whether Emily Ratajkowski had taken up rock climbing and forgotten to switch back into her trusty Puma Speedcat sneakers before leaving the changing room, but even they couldn’t deny the allure of this dad sandal/ballet flat hybrid.

Dressing up an otherwise relatively low-key look of a cropped black tank vest and low-rise frayed-hem denim shorts, EmRata’s footwear choice consisted of multiple crisscross straps atop a canvas, ballet-style pump with statement white stitching. The made-to-order shoes are by Foundry Mews, and ring in at a cool £210.

If you’re still not entirely convinced by the silhouette, may we alert you to the fact that EmRata is not Foundry Mews’ canvas shoes’ only celebrity fan.
