The Brit Awards were back for 2026, with their promise of magical live performances, emotional winners’ speeches, and presenter Jack Whitehall, reporting for his sixth ceremony, being an absolute menace to high society.
For the first time in the event’s history, the Brit Awards took place outside of London at Manchester’s Co-op Live. But as ever, each category was stacked with talent, with Olivia Dean (who won her first Grammy earlier this year) and Lola Young leading the nominations. The ‘Best Pop Act’ category was dominated entirely by women – shout out to JADE, Lily Allen, and Raye – while PinkPantheress and FKA twigs were in the mix for ‘Best Dance Act’, and Little Simz was chasing her second Brit Award in the ‘Best Hip-Hop/Rap/Grime’ category.
Prior to the ceremony – which kicked ofkicked off (Saturday 28th February) at 8pm – some winners had already been announced, including PinkPantheress as ‘Producer of the Year’ and Noel Gallagher as ‘Songwriter of the Year’. The late Ozzy Osbourne was also celebrated with a Lifetime Achievement award, which was marked by an all-star rock tribute performance, curated by his wife Sharon Osbourne, at the end of the ceremony.
We’ve rounded up the full list of the nominees and winners at the Brit Awards 2026, including Artist of the Year, Group of the Year, and Album of the Year.
