Until now… as the singer’s rep told Page Six that after months of dating 31-year-old artist Jesse Rutherford, the pair decided to break up. “We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends,” the rep said. The rep also shut down any speculation that there was cheating involved in the split. Phew.
Despite their 10-year-plus age difference (he was born in 1991; she at the tail end of 2001) and the many ups-and-downs of their relationship, we can’t help but feel sad that the musical duo have split… although it does leave the Bad Guy singer single again, just in time for the summer

There’s a short video of him dressed as a clown, and their Halloween couple costumes are a baby (her) and an old man (him), which many interpret as the pair either making fun of or playing into discourse around their age difference.
