At first, Addison Rae’s latest Instagram post appears to open with a pic of the musician wearing a bright white bikini with the contrast turned all the way up to make it look super blinding white. But if you look closer, you’ll see it’s not actually a ruffly fabric bikini at all — it’s all whipped cream.
The Diet Pepsi singer shared a few (literally) sweet summer pics on Instagram, starting with the whipped cream bikini. In the photo, she reclines with the sugary foam applied over her body to look like a frilly, lacy bikini. If you zoom in, you’ll instantly know it’s not made of fabric, as Rae has tiny little marks from the whipped cream on her shoulders. Hey, it’s probably pretty hard to lay still with a bunch of desserts applied to your skin!

We can’t say we’re surprised that Rae donned a whipped cream bikini, given her love of all things 2000s. In the ‘00s, actor Ali Larter wore a whipped cream bikini in the movie Varsity Blues, which was later spoofed in Not Another Teen Movie and remains a cultural touchstone of the era today.

Rae didn’t outrightly say that it was an homage to the infamous onscreen bikini, but we’re pretty sure she knows the reference. There’s just one quick question for the singer on our minds — wasn’t it so sticky to wear? “The first photo is so Tumblr coded,” wrote a follower, and we agree.
Elsewhere in her carousel, Rae shared a cute pic of a pile of ripe summer peaches, then a photo of herself laying in bed wearing an airbrushed tropical tank with denim cutoffs and a white tulle skirt layered atop, styled with glittery gold pumps. The final pic is definitely the cutest, though; it’s a truly adorable summer throwback pic of toddler Rae with her mum, Sheri. It’s Addison Rae’s summer, and we’re just living in it!
