The single item our summer wardrobes couldn’t survive without? One-piece swimsuits. They’re a wear-anywhere swimwear option, obviously, but they’re also versatile enough for occasions far beyond the water. Planning on going from beach to bar but don’t want to bring a spare outfit? Zimmerman’s irresistible new-season crochet bikinis are adorned in ruffles, while Maygel Coronel’s eponymous, Columbian label teams the drama of XXL puffed sleeves and florals with pared-back pastel hues.
In a similar vein, floral printed swimsuits are an endlessly stylish choice for your time spent sun-worshipping, with nostalgic ditsy florals as well as Dolce & Gabbana-esque macro prints adding graphic quality to the one-piece. Enter: Boden’s designer-inspired, sweetheart neckline Tigerlily Tapestry swimsuit which, adorned in tile-print florals, is set to be the high-street sell-out of the summer.
Whether you’re planning on spending the majority of the season in your own garden or you’ve got the holiday of a lifetime booked, now is the perfect time to experiment. Don’t have the luxury of any private outdoor space? Not got a vacation booked just yet? Then why not road-test (park-test?) a new one piece swimsuit style slightly more modestly by wearing it with a pair of your favourite denim shorts? After all, the true test of a great cozzie has always been how many times you can rewear it.
