Bridgerton star Simone Ashley may have left the corsets and ballgowns of the period piece behind, but she’s keeping its candy-colour palette – recently stepping out for a stroll in New York City wearing shades of turquoise and carrying a bright yellow bag that contrast for an almost aggressively bright take on summer cheer.
On August 9, Ashley was photographed in a light blue lace camisole paired with a snakeskin-patterned silk skirt that flared out to create a mermaid-like silhouette. In fact, Ashley played one of Ariel’s sisters in Disney’s recent live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, so maybe that’s been an influence on her style too? Yeah, that’s Joshua Jackson she’s taking a walk with, and he, too, is wearing Nikes: green suede with orange swooshes. Are they working on something together? Not that we’re aware of! In fact, he’s busy filming Happy Hours with Katie Holmes right now; she’s in town for The Devil Wears Prada 2. This appears to be a social stroll. A promenade, if you will. Not as flirtatious as dancing together at a ball, but far more fun than having tea in the drawing room.
Fortunately, we’ll get to see Simone Ashley as one half of #Kanthony again real soon, as she confirmed to GLAMOUR that Kate Sharma does appear in the fourth season of Bridgerton. “I know that I am returning, but that’s all I can say. I absolutely adore the show, and the more I can be a part of it, the better. They’ve been really kind to work around my schedule,” she revealed.
