Welcome to the Tabi club, Keke Palmer! The actor/singer/TV host just paired one of fashion’s most divisive shoe styles with a classic tweed jacket, and we are obsessed with the combo.
Keke Palmer shared her latest ‘fit pics on Instagram, captioning the carousel, “You wanna know what a boss look like? You lookin’ at one, handlin’ BIG bidness.” Her outfit is all business, starting with the bright blue tweed, hip-length jacket with black piping and gold buttons, which she wore layered over a black turtleneck. Palmer paired the jacket with slim-fitting black cropped pants and the aforementioned Margiela Tabis, a slingback style with a comfy, practical block heel. Palmer’s bag was equally ready for a big meeting or business lunch; she toted a black leather top-handle purse along with her ensemble. Her hair was long and straight with cute, curled-under bangs and she wore a soft glam with fluttery lashes.

The Tabi was first introduced in 1989, meaning it celebrates its 35th birthday this year. The first-ever Tabi style was an ankle boot, and the split-toe design was immediately polarising amongst fashion fans. In the years since, the Tabi has become an icon in its own right, and Palmer isn’t the only star who has joined the fan club. Dua Lipa wore a pump-style Tabi with thick white socks in late 2023, and Cardi B is a noted fan of the style, too.
Palmer’s friends and followers were big fans of the all-business look. “The first [picture] comes w a voice and I can HEAR IT,” wrote SZA. “Yessssss it’s giving boss & CEO!!!!!!” wrote a follower. “Billionaire loading…” wrote another.
