Jennifer Lopez has worn an elevated version of the classic fisherman sandals, and we’re obsessed.
Back in June, the Bronx-born singer announced the cancellation of her tour — in aid of her latest album, This Is Me…Now — in order to be with her family.
And now, it seems the singer is happily spending her time at the Hamptons surrounded by nature and her loved ones. Just a few days ago, J.Lo went out for a bike ride with her son, Max, and some friends. Her look, however, was far from the athleisure-style outfit she usually opts for for her gym outings – this time she chose a comfortable (and cool) outfit that is giving us prime inspiration for our next summer getaway.
J.Lo’s holiday look was all about feeling floaty and free we reckon, since she wore an airy cotton white dress with leg splits that allowed for easy pedalling – though she did up the glam with her signature deep-V neckline, however. She combined the look with thin gold hoop earrings and large maximalist sunglasses, but the stars of the show were her beautiful platform fisherman sandals. You can see the photo here.
Last summer marked the return of the fisherman sandal, loved by the likes of Hailey Bieber and Katie Holmes. J.Lo’s versions have espadrille soles and leather ankle straps, making them the perfect hybrid of fisherman and gladiator sandals.
It certainly looks like her relaxed summer in the Hamptons is influencing Jennifer Lopez’s usually high-glam wardrobe – while staying true to her XXL accessories, this trip saw J.Lo lean into a more boho vibe, reviving the sandal trend that we return to time and time again in the summer. We did say boho was back, didn’t we?
