Will Daphne be in season 3 of Bridgerton? It’s the question we’ve all been wondering in the lead-up to the latest drop of the Netflix show. Well, that and: How soon do Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton) hook up?!?
The status of Phoebe Dynevor, who plays the eldest Bridgerton sister, has been uncertain ever since her onscreen husband Regé-Jean Page (Simon Basset) declared he wasn’t returning for season 2. The show went on without him, explaining his absence with throwaway lines that placed him at home rather than dealing with the Ton. (“Just because you didn’t see him doesn’t mean he wasn’t there,” former showrunner Chris Van Dusen told GLAMOUR at the time.)
Daphne did make a few appearances in a supporting role — first, to help Eloise make her debut into society, and then later as a sounding board for big brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey). But it was hard not to imagine what could have been, had Page stuck it out.
“I really liked that it ended on a happy ending, but life isn’t one happy ending,” Dynevor said shortly after season 1, when I asked what was next for the character. “I’d like to see what other hurdles they have to jump over… I’d love to see her as a mother.” So would we!

Which brings us back to: Is Phoebe Dynevor in season 3 of Bridgerton?
Sadly, no. The actor told Variety that she has moved on from the series…for now, at least. “I did my two seasons,” Dynevor said when asked if Daphne would be in season 3 of Bridgerton. “I’ve done what I wanted to do with that character, and she had a great arc.”
