Kylie Jenner admits she ‘obviously’ didn’t mean to get pregnant at 19

There is no question (None! Zero! Don’t even try it!) that Kylie Jenner loves her daughter Stormi (and also her son Aire), who arrived when the makeup mogul was just 20 years old. In her video announcing Stormi’s birth, Jenner more or less admitted that her daughter with then-boyfriend Travis Scott was a happy accident, memorably saying, “next thing I knew, I was pregnant.” Now, she’s opening up more about young motherhood being one of life’s twists and turns.

Reflecting on her decision to get breast augmentation surgery when she was 19, Jenner told The Wall Street Journal Magazine, “I’ve never touched my face, but just even getting my breasts done when I was 19 and getting pregnant soon after, [I was] not, obviously, planning to be pregnant at 19.” In other words, if she had known she’d be pregnant so soon, she would have waited to look into cosmetic surgery, or maybe not had it at all. “I probably just should have waited until I maybe had kids or let my body just develop.”

She also revealed that her decision to get breast implants wasn’t made because of insecurity but because, well, she likes big boobs. “I was confident and loved my body. I was just having fun. I was influenced by amazing boobs and was like, that’s what I wanted to do, and had fun with it.”

Kylie Jenner has spoken before about the complicated nature of being a young mom. After delivering her second child at 25, she told the camera during an episode of The Kardashians, “It definitely takes me a while after I have a baby to get back into [dressing up]…I’m like, I’m still a mom, but I’m also so young. These are the years that I’m supposed to be naked everywhere in the streets, on a beach somewhere with my titties out, ass out, fuck, yeah.”

Motherhood has also changed her style in a somewhat unexpected way: “My daughter has totally taught me a lot more about myself, and seeing myself in her has changed everything. I’ve had so much growth and am just embracing natural beauty,” she told WSJ, after saying in a different interview that she’d be “heartbroken” if Stormi had plastic surgery at 19. You live, you learn!
