Paris Hilton’s memoir, which was released earlier this year, contained some deeply moving, personal and shocking revelations – and now it’s set to be adapted into a TV series.
The book, titles simply Paris The Memoir, saw the heiress open up about her experiences of sexual assault, abuse, grooming and an ‘aggressive encounter’ with Harvey Weinstein.
Now, the memoir has been optioned by production studio A24, Variety confirmed, with plans to adapt it into a series.
While there are currently no actors attached to star in the project, sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning will be executive producers on the series under their Lewellen Pictures banner.
Paris herself will also take an executive producer role via 11:11 Media’s Slivington Manor Entertainment.
The production is still in its early stages, so there’s still no word on how many episodes we can expect, when it will be released or what streaming service it will be attached to.
What can we expect from the Paris The Memoir series?
While details are scarce, if the series follows the memoir closely then it’s likely we can expect it to delve into some of the more shocking moments, such as her relationship with one of her teachers when she was in eighth grade.
“[He] called me almost every night, and we talked for hours about how amazingly mature, beautiful, and intelligent I was, how sensual, misunderstood, and special,” Paris wrote in her book.
“He reminded me that Princess Diana was thirteen years younger than Prince Charles. And Priscilla Presley was my age when Elvis fell in love with her.”
Paris detailed how her teacher would call her every night and they would talk ‘for hours’, before one day when her parents were out he came over and they kissed. When they were caught by her parents, he blamed her and she was sent to live with her grandmother for the summer.
