When model Bella Hadid seemingly disappeared from runways, public appearances, and social media, rumours began to spread that she was in a rehab facility receiving treatment for a substance use disorder. But as we now know, Hadid was actually dealing with her Lyme disease and is thankfully feeling better now. So she’d like it if everyone stopped with the rehab speculation, please and thanks.
“Me n miss beans taking our mental health walk in between treatments (i know i look sick u dont have to tell me twice ok,” she captioned a TikTok of herself and her dog that was posted on August 8, adding, “And no i wasnt in rehab and no i dont do drugs so can we all drop it now that ive filled you in love you.” (Also, she has been open about her sobriety, FYI.)

Two days earlier, she posted a long health update that included pictures of medical records and intimate photos of her hospital and doctor’s office visits, writing, “Living in this state, worsening with time and work while trying to make myself, my family and the people who support me, proud, had taken a toll on me in ways I can’t really explain. To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever. one thing I want to express to you all is that 1: I am okay and you do not have to worry, ♥️and 2:I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today.”

This isn’t the first time that Bella Hadid has attempted to set the record straight about her health and treatments. In 2021, after she was noticeably absent from the Met Gala, rumours spread that she was unvaccinated, as the event had a strict vaccine policy at the time. She then revealed that she did get the vaccine (though she waited a few months for some reason, but still!).
