25 best honeymoon hotels for 2026 brides

I might not be anywhere near saying ‘I do’, but you best believe I’ve been researching the best honeymoon hotels since I met my boyfriend back in 2024. A major perk of getting wed – you know, aside from locking in a gorgeous, supportive, loving partner — is the extended holiday, often to a luxury location, to reconnect after the biggest day of your lives.

But, and it goes without saying, there are countless options when it comes to honeymoon hotels: do you stay within Europe and do a mini-moon, before committing to a long-haul trip later in married life? Or do you escape to a luxury villa in the Maldives , Mauritius or Mexico to kick-start your memory-making?

FYI, I’ve been a travel writer for six years, so when I say these are the best honeymoon hotels, I like to think you can trust my judgement. So, read on for 24 venues I would happily relocate to post-vows, whether you’re after a romantic romp in the South of France, a wellness-geared stay in Santorini or an idyllic beach break in Thailand.

How we choose the best honeymoon hotels:

All of our writers moonlight as travel journalists in their spare time — a committed bunch, we know. That means that most of these properties have been visited by at least one member of the Glamour team for at least two nights. During that time, they’re asked to consider the following:

  • Location — How close is it to the airport and key attractions? What’s the neigbourhood like? Is it safe, and are local services within walking distance?
  • Room quality — Was the room clean and comfortable? Did it have a good view? And all the necessary amenities?
  • Amenities and facilities — Does it have a (quality) pool, spa, gym and options when it comes to eating?
  • Service — Were the staff helpful and friendly? How was the check-in experience?
  • Food and beverage — Was there enough variety? Was the food high-quality and tasty?
  • Value for money — Ulimately, would we be willing to pay full-price for another stay?

Where we haven’t personally reviewed a hotel, we rely on recommendations from friends and family, read countless customer reviews or stick with brands we already know, love and trust.

I’ve been a freelance travel journalist for almost six years — that’s one year at Glamour, and five years elsewhere. In that time, I’ve reviewed countless hotels and resorts in various locations: Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Jamaica, Boston, Rhode Island and New York. This includes both city escapes and beach resorts, which I’ve visited both as a solo traveller, and as part of a group.

I’m a big foodie, always considering the variety and whether the menu uses local, seasonal ingredients. But I’m also keen on adventure, having completed both a skydive and a bungee-jump on my travels. I also believe in immersing myself in the local culture to get a real feel for where I’m visting.
