Whether it’s an adventure thriller, a cosy rom-com or a spooky horror, we have all loved getting comfortable on the couch this year with a good ol’ film – and no, we don’t feel guilty that we can’t use lockdown as an excuse for this activity anymore, because there’s truly nothing else we would rather be doing.
But we have some news to delight you because this year is set to get even better when it comes to movie releases, with some epic stories finally set to hit the big screen that we have been eagerly anticipating for ages now. For example, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling playing the ultimate Barbie and Ben in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming film Barbie is something we’re so excited about (could the casting be any more perfect?!). And for all you Disney lovers, it’s nearly time to see future superstar Halle Bailey’s turn as the iconic Ariel in the upcoming remake of The Little Mermaid. Yay!
We’re also (pretty) ready to be spooked by The Exorcist sequel. But if horrors aren’t your thing, why not indulge in action-packed films such as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny or Brie Larson starring The Marvels? A fan of Stranger Things? Then be sure to check out Millie Bobby Brown in the Netflix movie Damsel. Speaking of the streaming service, Jennifer Lopez will return to her action-packed roots in the movie, The Mother and Julia Roberts will be seen in the end-of-the-world disaster movie, Leave the World Behind.
